I'm not a big jewelry guy but one thing I think you need is something that reminds you of your mortality. Yeah, that's right, even around the holidays when you take it all in, you want to remember life is short so live it up. What better reminder, other then wallpaper made up of old obituaries, then an awesome skull ring. Johnny Cash wore one, Keith Richards wears one, and let's face it: it looks f-in cool. (link)
» Sabre Vision "Die Hippy"" Sunglasses
Accessories make the man...or woman. Maybe it's Wes Anderson's latest homage to parental baggage in Darjeeling Limited, but I like this huge sunglasses, specifically in tortoise color. Sometimes the world looks better through the right pair of shades. I have a feeling these would definitely help. (link)
» Modern Amusement Lonely Hearts Club Jacket
Jacket styles come and go, it's just fact, man. But this jacket is simply great. Great for going out, great for a pop in (to a favorite bar perhaps), good for getting you around when it's 3 freezin' degrees out. It's classic, it's sophisticated, but it's also got some modern touches. What a nice surprise this would be find under my tree. (link)
» "We Are Happy to Serve You" Ceramic Mug
This is my guilty pleasure. Back in the day, you couldn't go into the city without seeing one of these looking cups smashed into the street, having been tread upon by countless other litter bugs. Now you can have your own, forever (or as long as you don't try and toss it to the ground like the old paper versions). (link)
Is it the 80's? No, not really but you can try to remember the 80's by hoisting this mini boombox onto your shoulders. Plug in the iPod, put on some Funkytown or Run DMC. Yeah, yeah...big hair, guys in make up, and rap was cool. Good times, good times. (link)
{ SCOTT }
I'm not going to describe why I want this one, oh the fun to be had. (link)
I need a USB hub and all of them are ugly, so instead we will go for something fun. (link)
» Negativland: Our Favorite Things DVD
This is a dvd of artist-made music videos for negativland songs, and it includes a cd as well. (link)
Now that this device has full calendar functionality and web app support making it an affordable and usable pda. If there is a lot of wifi in your area this could be very useful. (link)
» Reason 4
Reason 4 now has direct audio recording support as well as a much more user friendly sequencer. The dynamic groove shifting is also a god send. (link)
It's under 300 bucks and prints at 600 dpi on any disc. This would be great for portfolios or anyone who makes mix CDs compulsively. (link)
